Nurses Work Permit

Register in UK as a Nurse or Midwife

Overseas trained nurses or midwives wanting to work in the UK must register with NMC.

NMC register consists of three parts.:
  • Nurses
  • Midwives
  • Specialist community public health nurses (SCPHN).
Nurses four fields of practice
  • Adult Nursing
  • Mental Health Nursing
  • Learning Disabilities Nursing
  • Children’s Nursing
Practice requirements
  • Practised as a registered nurse or midwife for at least 12 months after qualifying relevant to the field of practice the applicant is applying for.
IELTS Academic
  • an overall score of at least 7 at least 6.5 in the writing section and at least 7 in the reading, listening and speaking sections.
Combining IELTS test scores
  • you sit the tests within six months of each other you’re tested in all four sections at the same time all scores in both sittings are above 6.5
Occupational English Test (OET)
  • at least a grade C+ in the writing section at least a grade B in the reading, listening and speaking sections.
Combining OET test scores
  • You can achieve the required mark across two test sittings if: you sit the tests within six months of each other you’re tested in all four sections at the same time all grades in both sittings are above grade C+, and you achieve at least a grade C+ in the writing section and at least a grade B in the reading, listening and speaking sections in either of the two test sittings.
STEP BY STEP PROCEDURE –
  • 1. Email Documents at visa@liie.co.uk
  • 2. Register with LIIE
  • 3. Submit OET or IELTS
  • 5. Apply to NMC register to do Part 1 CBT
  • 6. Candidate completes CBT part 1
  • 7. Certificate of Sponsor by Employer
  • 8. Visa applied.
  • 9. Once Visa granted reach UK.
  • 10. Join Job with employer
  • 11. Complete Part 2 OSCE.
